Loved and feared in equal measure, the snake has been the object of countless representations throughout history. A symbol of wisdom for some, of power and protection for others, from prehistory to the present day, the snake has fascinated humankind. Our artists have chosen the snake to create three objects made in black porcelain. A clock, a candleholder and a vase on which different snakes are portrayed. On the clock, their bodies create the perfect frame for the clockface. In the candleholder, the heads of two intertwined snakes are the supports for the candles. And in the vase, the deep black color of the vase itself is enhanced with a snake in golden luster that winds around it. The appeal of the Snakes collection comes from the expressive power of the undulating body and the texture of its skin. Attributes here transformed into elegant evocative designs.
